Gli Incubi di Freud are a solo and collaborative project of alternative talkative rock born from the personal experience of Joshua McFarrow, voice, bass, music, lyrics, videos, ideas and existential crises of the group. Originating from Ripe San Ginesio (Macerata province), Joshua is the “patient zero” of the project that involves other musicians from Treia and Porto Sant'Elpidio: Alessandro Camela on drums, Andrea “K” Piermarteri on rhythm guitar and Massimiliano Camela on lead guitar. The name of the group itself derives from the concept of psychological analysis, with musical themes born from Joshua's studio sessions. The singer states: «Gli Incubi di Freud are born from the precise need to do public introspection with the straightforwardness of music, a field that allows me to move without the usual awkwardness of a shy, introverted person like I am without a microphone under my chin». The debut album was released on December 10, 2021 with the EP “Sistole”, available on all major music streaming platforms. Following a change in lineup, the EP will be presented live in clubs in the Maceratese and Anconetan areas starting in spring 2023. Gli Incubi di Freud are part of the latest Italian underground rock scene, with musical influences reminiscent of i Ministri, i Gazebo Penguins, i Cara Calma, and Anglophone sounds of early Feeder and Jimmy Eat World.
