Entre un hola y un adiós

Te sienta bien el otoño...
Qué gusto volverte a ver...
¿Me recuerdas?... Soy el plomo
que por el 73
investigó tus costumbres
y registró tu intimidad
para coincidir contigo
como por casualidad.

Aquél que cuando la tarde
amenazaba llover
te esperaba con el alma
prendida de un alfiler
para abrirte su paraguas
y con él, su corazón.
El que te decía «hola»...
Y al que decías «adiós»...

Cuántos metros soñolientos
no habré dejado escapar
por atravesar contigo
las tripas de esta ciudad.
Para volar en tu enjambre,
por tener algo en común
me amigué con tus amigos,
conservo algunos aún.

Vencí el vértigo a las cumbres
por llegar a tu nivel
y por rozarte el vestido
hacía cualquier papel.
Cuántas volteretas vanas
para llamar tu atención
sólo por decirte «hola»
y oírte decir «adiós».

Me halaga que me recuerdes
como tu primer amor
aunque tal vez me confundes
con algún otro señor.
Soy el que hacía la cola
para cederte la vez
quien por ofrecerte agua
cruzó desiertos a pie.

El que ponía los discos
cuando querías bailar,
y por más que alargué los brazos
nunca te llegué a tocar.
El que guarda tu recuerdo
como un regalo de Dios
en el libro de los sueños
entre un «hola» y un «adiós».
