Eagles of Death Metal sono un gruppo rock garage americano formatosi a Palm Desert, California, nel 1998 da Jesse Hughes e Josh Homme. Nonostante il nome, non sono una band death metal. La storia del nome deriva da un amico che cercava di introdurre Josh Homme al genere death metal. Quando suonò una canzone della band polacca Vader e affermò che fosse death metal, Homme li chiamò "Eagles of Death Metal".
