The Cross was a British rock band active from 1987 to 1993. Founded by Queen drummer Roger Taylor, the project emerged as a parallel collaboration alongside Queen, aiming to explore more experimental and less commercial sounds. The band's sound was characterized by a blend of hard rock, progressive rock, and psychedelic influences, with lyrics often introspective and poetic. Among the founding members were guitarist Pete Newdeck, bassist Phil Chen, and singer/guitarist Jason Bonham (son of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham). The Cross released two studio albums: "The Cross" (1988) and "Mad, Bad and Beautiful" (1990), both well-received by critics. The band disbanded in 1993 due to creative and personal differences. Some representative tracks include "Power to Believe", "I'm Not Your Man", and "The Way You Make Me Feel".
