Give it all back to me
Give it all back to me
What I've done for you
What I do through you
Give it all back to me
I won't share my glory
With no one else
Don't you try to keep it
For yourself
Don't you ever take the credit
You didn't earn it, shouldn't get it
Don't you know that pride comes before every fall
Give it back, back, back, all back
Give the glory all back to me
In Him we live, we move
We have our being
If it was not for the Lord
We could not do one thing
Couldn't walk, couldn't talk
Couldn't sleep, couldn't eat
You know the breath of life in us
Comes from Him
Give it back, give it back, give it all back
Give it all back to me
You were created for my glory
Tell the story
Give it all back to me
I love it when you do
Keep those praises coming through
Tell the story
Give it all back to me
Everybody in the world knows
The sun is mine
The moon is mine
All the stars they're mine
The sky is mine
All heaven is mine
All hell is mine
All the earth is mine
All creation is mine
All praise is mine
All honor is mine
All glory is mine
All power is mine
Your past is mine
Your future is mine
Your life's all mine
Your time is mine
Your heart, your mind
Your body, your soul is mine
All mine, all mine, not yours
All the time
Give the glory all back to me
Glory, give me glory
What I've done for you
What I do through you
Give it all back to me
Give it back, back, all back to me
AndraƩ Edward Crouch was an American gospel singer, songwriter, arranger, record producer and pastor. Referred to as "the father of modern gospel music" by contemporary Christian and gospel music professionals, Crouch was known for his compositions "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power", "My Tribute " and "Soon and Very Soon". He collaborated on some of his recordings with famous and popular artists such as Stevie Wonder, El DeBarge, Philip Bailey, Chaka Khan, and Sheila E., as well as the vocal group Take 6, and many popular artists covered his material, including Bob Dylan, Barbara Mandrell, Paul Simon, Elvis Presley and Little Richard. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was known as the "go-to" producer for superstars who sought a gospel choir sound in their recordings; he appeared on a number of recordings, including Michael Jackson's "Man In the Mirror", Madonna's "Like a Prayer", and "The Power", a duet between Elton John and Little Richard. Crouch was noted for his talent of incorporating contemporary secular music styles into the gospel music he grew up with. His efforts in this area helped pave the way for early American contemporary Christian music during the 1960s and 1970s.
