Samuel Mele (born in Castrignano de' Greci, 1995) is an Italian musician, songwriter and composer. After studying Ethnomusicology and Music Therapy, he dedicates himself to music with a particular focus on the oud, ney and guitar. Self-taught in musical theory and composition techniques, he has refined his style under the guidance of masters such as Ross Daly, Kelly Thoma, Peppe Frana, Christos Barbas and Lamia Yared. His formative experiences have taken him to travel between Italy and Greece, participating in Labyrinth Musical Workshop in Crete where he becomes passionate about Cretan music and modal composition. In 2024 he participates in a residency promoted by Culture Moves Europe and Goethe Institut. His musical research is deeply influenced by his experience with the International School of Self Awareness, founded by Patrizio Paoletti, which has guided him on a journey of self-discovery. In 2023 he wins the Per Chi Crea grant from SIAE for the production of his first album “Il Santo Sforzo di capire cosa sia l’Amore”, released by Nauna Cantieri Musicali with artistic production by Valerio Daniele. The project has also been selected by the Promotion of Live Discographic Projects grant promoted by Nuovo Imaie, under the care of Claudio Prima. Among his most representative songs: “La Danza del Sole”, “Ombra e Luce”, “Il Canto della Luna”.
