Edera is an Italian musical group formed in Civitavecchia in 2019. The project originated in 2018 when guitarist Diego Tranquilli and Lorenzo Ceccarelli, vocalist and violinist, began composing songs in English with folk-pop sonorities. Over time, the band changed style, switching to Italian and expanding the lineup to five members: Daniele Dedici on bass, Fabrizio Campoggiani on drums and Giordano Ricci on keyboards. The name Edera derives from this new creative phase. The first demos, "Il bar dei cattivi" and "Demone custode", were recorded in 2020 in a home studio. The pandemic interrupted the band's activities, but songwriting never stopped. In 2021, Edera began performing in venues on the Lazio coast and in Rome, culminating in the recording of their first EP in spring 2022.
