Il mio è un lavoro a perde, a fasse male: se uno casca per la strada, certe scene...'portate i sali, portate i tabacchi, portate i cerotti'; se casco io...niente cerotti, niente lutti, me battono le mani, ridono tutti, belli...e quel signore col cappio al collo che dice in giro che è una cravatta. E quella signorina biondina, carina col macigno sulla schiena che dice in giro che è uno zainetto...signorina c'hai quarant'anni, lo sanno tutti che le scuole l'hai finite da un pezzo: cambia scusa, scusa...cambia scusa. Scusa!
Nun ce posso fa niente, come qualcosa va storta o va perduta, mi esce fuori una battuta.
So 'n pagliaccio, faccio quello che faccio, nun me 'mpiccio nell'impaccio...me sò 'mpacciato. Se me spaccio è p' er carpaccio.
So 'n pagliaccio da quando raccolsi un nudo bruco, un verme della nuda terra e lo diedi alla nuda contorsionista che lo ha preso, l'ha 'nfioccato, l'ha contorsionato ed il nudo bruco è diventato...un farfallone.
Lo porto sempre al collo il farfallone, oggetto tessile della mia sicurezza, sintomatico orpello del pagliaccio sicuro...metti caso, sò sicuro. Metti caso fanno un'attacco chimico, battereologico, aerografo...metti caso...c'ho la palla sopra al naso. Metti caso una mia amica tanto buona, tanto cara, tanto amica parta per l'ultimo viaggio e mi venga a dare l'ultimo addio tutta commossa...gliè do la mano con la scossa: 'nun piagne, che fa corto circuito, ridi, ridi...devi ride'.
