Incantation is an American death metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Active since 1989, the group is considered one of the pioneers of black/death metal and has influenced numerous other bands in the underground music scene. Known for their intense live performances and dark, blasphemous lyrics, Incantation have released a dozen studio albums, including "Onward to Golgotha" (1992), "Blasphemous Abortion" (1994) and "The Infernal Way" (2006). Some of their most representative songs include "Mortal Throne", "Reanimate the Dead" and "Blood on My Hands".
