The Draft is a post-hardcore band formed in Gainesville, Florida, in 2003. The core of the group consists of members from Hot Water Music: Jason Black (guitar), George Rebelo (drums) and Chris Wollard (vocals). Completing the lineup is Todd Rockhill, a guitarist known for his collaborations with bands like Black Cougar Shock Unit, Discount, and other musical acts in the Gainesville scene. The Draft stands out for its powerful and melodic post-hardcore sound, influenced by punk rock and emo. Their music is characterized by aggressive riffs, introspective lyrics, and a strong live energy. Among their most representative tracks are "The Way It Is", "I Don't Know" and "This Time".
