(young/young/scott - arr. dead moon)
Riding down the highway
Goin' to a show
Stoppin' on the by-ways
Playing rock & roll
Gettin' robbed, gettin' stoned
Gettin' beaten, broken bones
Gettin' had, gettin' took
I'll tell you folks, it's harder than it looks
[chorus]
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock & roll
If you think it's easy playing one night stands
Try playing in a rock & roll band
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock & roll
Hotel, motel makes you wanna cry
Ladies do the hard sell, know the reason why
Gettin' old, gettin' gray
Gettin' ripped off, underpaid
Gettin' sold, secondhand
That's how it goes playing in a band
[chorus]
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock & roll
If you wanna be a star of stage and screen
Look out, it's tough and mean
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock & roll
[chorus]
Dead Moon was an American rock band active from 1987 to 2006, formed in Portland, Oregon. The group was led by Fred Cole, singer and guitarist, along with his wife Toody Cole on bass and Andrew Loomis on drums. Veterans of Portland's independent rock scene, Dead Moon combined a dark and lovelorn garage rock with punk and country music influences into a stripped-down sound. Fred Cole produced most of the band's recordings and mastered them on a mono lathe used for The Kingsmen's version of "Louie Louie". Their early records, such as "In the Graveyard", were released on the Tombstone Records label, named after the musical equipment store Fred and Toody operated at the time. Dead Moon soon attracted the attention of the German label Music Maniac Records and embarked on a successful European tour. It wasn't until the mid-nineties that they began touring the United States. Much of their following is in Europe. Notable songs include: "The Way It Is", "I'm Not Your Man", "Let Me Go".

Do we want to define "I know you know me" a masterpiece? Yes, without a shadow of a doubt for at least two reasons. The first and most evident are the artists who interpret it: Caroline Spence and Matt Berninger, second for the deep and poetic text.
My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
Sweden and the United States are two countries far from each other, thousands of kilometers separate them, the language, culinary and sporting traditions, I don't feel so categorical about the landscapes, not knowing all of America there may be states that have the same reliefs of the country of northern Europe, but on one thing I am sure
