Alle dens aandende Barme gaar,
alle dens Lemmer røres
og alle dens Pulse slaar.
Langs Elven driver der Morgendampe,
det buldrer af Skrig og Kampe.
Se, Vaaren er kommet i Dalen.
Nu rømmer han Hiet den magre Bjørn,
og højt over Vestens Bjærge
sejler en kongelig Ørn.
Men henne ved Husene reder en Skære
til Bryllup i Tugt og Ære.
