Roll Deep is a British hip hop collective formed in 2002 in London. Considered one of the cornerstones of the grime scene, they have significantly contributed to the diffusion of this underground music genre. The group has hosted artists of great talent such as Wiley, Skepta and Dizzee Rascal, who have achieved international fame. In 2006, the Tate Gallery of London invited Roll Deep to participate in the Tate Tracks project, an initiative that paired contemporary music with visual art works exhibited at the Tate Modern. Roll Deep composed a track inspired by the sculpture "Ishi's Light" by Anish Kapoor, demonstrating their ability to convey emotions and concepts through music in an original and innovative way. The group's record label is Roll Deep Recordings.
