Black Flag è stata una band di punk rock americana formatasi nel 1976 ad Hermosa Beach, in California. La band è stata principalmente concepita da Greg Ginn: chitarrista, principale compositore e unico membro continuo attraverso diverse modifiche del personale. Sono ampiamente considerati uno dei primi gruppi hardcore punk. Il loro suono crudo e aggressivo ha influenzato profondamente la scena musicale underground degli anni '80, contribuendo a definire l'estetica e l'attitudine del movimento hardcore.
