Otyg were a Swedish folk metal/viking metal band active between 2001 and 2006. The project was led by Andreas Hedlund, already known for his work with Vintersorg. Otyg's music featured the use of traditional Scandinavian instruments, creating an epic and atmospheric sound that blended elements of black metal with folk melodies. The band released two studio albums: "Otyg" (2003) and "Nordavind" (2005). After their disbandment, Andreas Hedlund focused again on the Vintersorg project.
