T. Rex, noti come Tyrannosaurus Rex fino al 1970, sono stati un gruppo rock britannico formato a Londra nel 1967 dal cantante, chitarrista e cantautore Marc Bolan. Bolan, leader, frontman e unico membro costante della formazione, ha guidato la band attraverso diverse fasi evolutive, partendo da sonorità folk-rock influenzate da artisti come Bob Dylan e The Beatles per poi abbracciare un glam rock più esplosivo e commerciale negli anni '70. Il successo di T. Rex è stato segnato da hit come "Get It On", "Children of the Revolution" e "20th Century Boy", che hanno contribuito a definire l'estetica e la musica del movimento glam rock britannico. Bolan, con il suo stile iconico e le sue performance carismatiche, è diventato un simbolo di quell'epoca, influenzando generazioni di musicisti successivi.
