non sarà mai la stessa cosa
quando si parla di me e te
il tempo non ha mai importanza
impegnarsi ed essere coscienti che tutto questo non ha più senso.

E andare via lontano,
un po' vicini ma lontani
per essere comunque noi

Renoir are an Italian musical group formed in 2019 in Modica, Sicily. The band consists of Salvatore Alfieri (vocals, bass), Tomas Giralt (guitar, drums) and Lorenzo Criscione (second guitar). The story of Renoir begins with the publication of Alfieri's first poetry book, “Il Bacio di Venere”. Not satisfied with limiting himself to poetry, Alfieri decides to create a musical group to give voice to his words alongside Tomas Giralt, former drummer for Overcoma. The two begin recording their first EP, “Stato d’animo”, in 2020 at Salvo Puma's studio of the Veivecura. The EP, released by Lost Generation Records, contains five original tracks and sees Tomas playing both drums and guitar, while Alfieri handles bass and vocals. After the release of the EP, Tomas switches to playing only guitar and the group completes its lineup with Lorenzo Criscione on second guitar and Riccardo Spataro on drums. In 2020 they record their second EP, “Tutto quello che non avrei mai voluto”, released by Ciaor Records (Overcoma, Katma), containing three new tracks written during a difficult period for Alfieri. Renoir define themselves as post-hardcore, emo-punk and everything in between, with introspective lyrics and intense melodies.
