Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in San Francisco, California. Considered one of the pillars of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, they are known for their aggressive sound, frenetic performances and often politically or socially charged lyrics. Exodus has influenced countless metal bands over the years. Some of their most representative songs include "Bonded by Blood", "Strike Every Chord" and "Pleasures of the Flesh".
