I came to see you and talk about how things have been.
I can't keep fighting and think about what we have left.
Wrap me up. Spit me out.
I've had these fights for years so now.
Slow me down. Call me out.
I've had these doubts, but no one knows just how.
Where do you think that I stand now?
Where do you think you will let me fall?
I can see it.A picture of one cold, dark cloud.
A mist around you to choke the painful worlds out of your crooked mouth.
Think it out. Calm me down.
I come home so dull and feel unknown.
Take a break? Foreign ground.
It never feels quite right, the way that we put each other down.
I've been being too vague now.
I've been writing the same old friends.
These predictions will mean so little
in light of all of the things that we can't mend.
I will be there to resuscitate you.
Small Brown Bike was a post-hardcore band from Marshall, Michigan, active from 1996 to 2004. The group emerged from the ashes of Help! The Lookout, a previous project by vocalist Mike Reed and bassist Ben Reed (Mike's brother). Small Brown Bike's music was characterized by '80s-inspired guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and an innovative double vocal technique. Their sound evoked post-hardcore bands like Avail, Hot Water Music, and Dillinger Four. After their final show in 2004 at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago, Small Brown Bike disbanded. Mike Reed and Dan Jaquint later formed La Salle, with Mike's wife on bass. Ben Reed became the vocalist for Great Sea Serpents in Chicago, while Mike and Ben formed Able Baker Fox with Jeff Gensterblum (former drummer) and Nathan Ellis (Casket Lottery). Their debut album, "Voices", was released in January 2008.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
