Peter, Paul and Mary is an American folk music trio formed in 1960 in New York City. Composed of Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers, the group rose to fame in the 1960s for their folk-rock music, often featuring politically and socially conscious lyrics.
