Up, up
And away she goes
Now I know
That I know she knows
Could one live a lie?
Well neither will I
If she still try to try
But remarkably, my son
All my work is done
Wouldn't surprise me
To see her ghost
She would like me
To know she knows
And I'm almost sure
I was absolutely
Nothing before
Now I'm so
So much more
The one word
That describes the past
I'm pretty
Much possessed
We are the reason
I suppose
And we've spoken
So I know she knows
There was one
To sacrifice
When you live
More than twice
Or when I bet it's nice
Gonna be just like you
I'm giving my life, too
No other woman
Would wear your clothes
And it goes
Without saying she knows
She knows
Gnarls Barkley is a musical duo formed by rapper and singer CeeLo Green and producer Danger Mouse. The group's name comes from a combination of "gnarly", slang for something extraordinary or impressive, and "barkley", the last name of a fictional character in an animated film. The duo debuted in 2006 with the album "St. Elsewhere", which was a huge success thanks to the single "Crazy", a song that dominated world charts and won numerous awards, including a Grammy Award for Record of the Year. The album was critically acclaimed as one of the best of the decade, praised for its musical originality and ability to blend elements of soul, funk, hip hop and rock. Gnarls Barkley released two more albums: "The Odd Couple" (2008) and "Jinx" (2010), both well-received by critics but less successful than their debut. The duo disbanded in 2010, but CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse continued to work on individual projects.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
