Son of jazz band director and trumpeter Jim Culbertson, Brian plays the keyboard and trombone. He began playing music at age five and studied at the Berklee College of Music. Culbertson is known for his musical style that blends elements of jazz, funk, R and B, and soul. He has released numerous successful albums, collaborating with artists such as Kenny Loggins, David Sanborn, and Michael McDonald. Some of his most representative tracks include "You're the One", "The Way You Move" and "Just a Little Bit of Love". Culbertson is considered one of the leading figures in contemporary smooth jazz.
