Death Angel is a Filipino-American thrash metal band from Concord, California. Active initially from 1982 to 1991 and again since 2001, the band has helped define the sound of thrash metal with a technical and aggressive approach. Among their most important albums are "The Ultra-Violence" (1986), considered a classic of the genre, and "Act III" (2004), which marked a triumphant return after the hiatus. Death Angel is known for intense live performances and the charisma of Rob Cavestany, founding guitarist and leader of the band. Some of their most representative songs include "Bored to Tears", "The Ultra-Violence" and "Seemingly Endless Time".
