Big Sean, born Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, is an American rapper born in Santa Monica, California, in 1988. Raised in Detroit, Michigan, he began writing rhymes at a young age, attending Cass Technical High School and developing a passion for rap battles. In 2005, during a radio interview by Kanye West, Sean presented himself to the station with a demo tape, impressing the artist who subsequently signed him to GOOD Music in 2007.
