Carlos Rico Walker, better known as Shawty Lo, was an American rapper born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 19, 1980. He is known for his aggressive rap style and often provocative lyrics. He achieved national fame in 2006 with the single "Dey Know", which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart. Lo was also a member of the hip hop group D4L, known for the hit "Laffy Taffy". Shawty Lo released several albums throughout his career, including "Units in the Street" (2007) and "The Price of Fame" (2010).
