Secret Sphere is an Italian power/progressive metal band formed in 1997 in Alessandria. The founding members are Michele Luppi (vocals), Cristiano Cavallini (guitar) and Andrea De Paoli (bass). Their sound combines catchy melodies, heavy riffs and technical virtuosity, influenced by bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X and Helloween. After several demos and EPs, they released their debut album "The Art of Space and Time" in 2003, followed by two more successful albums: "A New Dimension" (2005) and "Icarus" (2007). In 2010 the band disbanded but reunited in 2016 with a new album, "Portrait of a Dreamer". Secret Sphere is considered one of the most representative Italian bands in the power/progressive metal genre, appreciated both at home and abroad.
