Gloryhammer is a British-Swiss power metal band formed in 2013. The project was conceived by Christopher Bowes, keyboardist and vocalist of Alestorm, who envisioned a band with an epic and fantastical concept. Bowes takes on the role of main composer and vocalist, while the band members adopt pseudonyms and costumes to portray characters in a story set across different eras and locations. Gloryhammer's albums are like chapters in a complex narrative, rich in references to mythology, fantasy, and science fiction.
