If i met you you were mistaken
And i'll bet you'll be gone today
Cause you got what you wanted from others
But you found out it's not my way
And i'll never lend you my records
And i'll never lend you the cash
Cause to you it's always like christmas
And i know you're just a flash in the pan of love
Well you hustle drinks from the cotton twill boys
Even ones you didn't know
Made him work for his last dollar
And you made him walk home in the snow
You thought it was rough when you thought you were down
Your living in greed got you running around
Thought it was love but you sure had to go
Thought it was free now you spend it alone
So don't tell me that the men don't love you
You made the rules you've got to sleep with the game
Hustle wine on wednesdays and thursdays
Want a husband the rest of the days
Then you ask if this song's got your name on it
Is this song about you or for you
Guilt is the only cause in the world for your fear does it really annoy you
You thought it was rough when you thought you were down
Living in greed got you running around
Thought it was love but you sure had to go
Thought it was free now you spend it alone
You thought it was free
Thought it was free
You thought it was free
Thought it was free
You thought it was free
It takes a truck to take what you've taken
I gotta squint to see what you gave
It takes a shovel to hear what you're talking
It takes a miracle to make you stay
You thought it was rough when you thought you were down
Living in greed got you running around
Thought it was love but you sure had to go
Thought it was free now you spend it alone
You thought it was free
You thought it was free
You thought it was free
You thought it was free

Il loro brano più famoso è probabilmente "Another Happy Ending", che ha contribuito a farli conoscere al grande pubblico.
