Sleater-Kinney is an American alternative rock band formed in Olympia, Washington, in 1994. The founding members are Corin Tucker (vocals, guitar), Carrie Brownstein (guitar, vocals) and Janet Weiss (drums). The band's name comes from a street that runs through the Lacey neighborhood of Olympia.
