Biografia

Marco Benati, known professionally as Benna, is an Italian singer-songwriter born in Carpi (MO) on October 7, 1981. A music enthusiast from a young age, he participated in various bands ranging from grunge to punk, hip hop to crossover. In 2017, he embarked on a solo career, blending songwriting with rap, styles that have always captivated him. In 2017, he released his debut album, "Al Lupo!", characterized by dark atmospheres and electronic sounds. Singles from the album include "Paroleperdenti", "Iene vs licantropi" and "Lord of the ring". In 2018, he collaborated with Asmodee Italia for the "Play Modena" event, creating the track "#ViAsmo". His second album, "Il pirata che ha trovato loro", was released in 2019, featuring the singles "Attimi di pensione", "Saetta McQueen" and "Giochiamo". From that point on, he began collaborating with producer Mirino and artist Nicholas Manfredini. In 2020, he released "L'insegnamento dell'asino", his third full-length album, originally composed of 13 tracks, later published with 15 pieces, including a remix by Mirino and the single "M'innamoro di tutto" featuring Nicholas Manfredini. The album was preceded by the singles "Noah", a duet with one of his sons, and "Il mio vestito nuovo". In 2021, he released "Perenne", a ballad dedicated to his children, followed by "Santa Musica", a song dedicated to music, featuring Nicholas Manfredini, and "La cosa più bella che ho visto". Benna is a contemporary storyteller, a "rappastorie" who writes and sings to give voice to those who don't have one.
