Gondwana is a Chilean musical group formed in 1987 during the Pinochet dictatorship. Their music blends influences of reggae, rock and traditional South American rhythms like the bolero. The band had to maintain a low profile during the years of the dictatorship due to the hostile political climate towards expressions of dissent and Rastafarian influence. After the end of the dictatorship, Gondwana achieved great popularity in Chile with their second album *Alabanza* (1996), which included the hit «Antonia».
