Against Me! is a punk rock band formed in Gainesville, Florida, in 1997. The original lineup consisted of Laura Jane Grace (vocals, guitar), Chris Conley (guitar), James Bowman (bass) and Warren Oakes (drums). The band released their debut full-length album, *Reinventing Axl Rose*, in 2002 on No Idea Records. After collaborating with several independent labels such as Misanthrope Records, Crasshole Records and Plan It X Records, Against Me! signed with Sire Records in December 2005.
