Biografia

Milva, stage name of Maria Ilva Biolcati (1939-2015), was one of the most iconic voices in Italian music. Born in Goro, Ferrara province, Milva began her career in the 1960s, captivating audiences with a powerful and versatile vocal timbre, capable of ranging from jazz to Italian songwriting. Considered one of the most authentic interpreters of Fabrizio De André's repertoire, Milva collaborated with some of the greatest Italian composers, including Ennio Morricone and Bruno Lauzi. Her international career led her to perform worldwide, from La Scala in Milan to Berlin, becoming a reference point for Italian music abroad. Among her most famous songs are "La sera dei miracoli", "Il cielo in una stanza" and "Canzone del sole". Milva was also a theater and film actress, appearing in films such as Federico Fellini's "The Man Who Laughs".
