The Dead Kennedys are an American punk band formed in San Francisco in the 1970s. Known for their provocative musical style and politically charged lyrics, they achieved immense popularity in the underground music scene of the 1980s. Their debut album, *Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables* (1980), contained iconic singles like «California Über Alles» and «Holiday in Cambodia», which made them famous internationally.
