Ramon Ayala is a Mexican musician, born in Nuevo León, considered the king of the accordion in the norteno music genre. With a career spanning over 60 years, he has won four Grammy Awards and recorded over 105 albums. Ayala is known for defining the norteno and tejano musical styles with his unique accordion technique and songs often characterized by traditional themes from northern Mexico. Although he has incorporated electric guitars and drums into his music, Ayala maintains a traditional norteño ranchera sound. He is famous for his generosity, hosting an annual Christmas party for children at his main residence near his ranch "Rinconcito en el Cielo" in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. He is the founder of musical groups such as "Los Relampagos del Norte" and "Ramon Ayala y sus Bravos del Norte".
