Down your old street
Kids are laughing like no one is meek
Was that what you thought you need
To be inspired again?
Like you once were
Like you once were
Like you once were
You’ve got to move on today
It’s just another day
Make a break for it
Turn to all the clocks
On the wall
Smash ‘em down
So you have to crawl
On your hands and knees
On your hands and knees
On your hands and knees
Just to tell time
Just look outside
There’s a space between all of those cars
Drive through your mind
They’re on their way to take care of
The important things
The important things
All those important things
That you’ve got to do
To get by
Down your old street
Kids are laughing like no one is meek
Was that what you thought you’d need
To be inspired again?
Like you once were
Like you once were
Like you once were
You’ve got to move
Until day
Headlights is an American indie rock band from Champaign, Illinois, signed to Polyvinyl Records. The band formed after the dissolution of Absinthe Blind, when members Erin Fein, Seth Fein and Brett Sanderson formed a group called Orphans. It was only when Tristan Wraight started writing songs with Fein that Headlights was officially formed. Their sound is characterized by catchy melodies, introspective lyrics and a blend of indie rock, folk and pop influences. Some of their most representative tracks include "The Ballad of the Brokenhearted", "The Sun Is Setting" and "You're Not Alone". Headlights has released several albums, including their debut "Some Strange Place" (2010) and "The Future Sounds Better Now" (2013).
