Ianez, whose real name is Andrea Iannone, is an Italian singer-songwriter and writer from Vasto, Abruzzo. He began his musical career in the late 1990s as the vocalist for MNT (Melan Nephos Thanatou), a black metal band that achieved success with both audiences and critics within the genre. After the band's disbandment, Ianez embarked on a journey of personal artistic exploration, culminating in the formation of the Renè Golconda in 2012. With the Renè Golconda, he entered national radio rotation with the song "Eri Distratta", produced by Andrea Gallo and arranged by Gigi De Rienzo (bassist for Napoli Centrale), who has collaborated with renowned artists such as Bennato and Pino Daniele. In 2018, Ianez published the novel "Sette foglie di oleandro" (Seven Oleander Leaves), a gothic urban metaphysical noir published by Lupieditore, which received critical acclaim and numerous literary awards. After a break from music, Ianez collaborated with bassist Lorenzo D'Annunzio and Fabio Tumini of Satellite Rec, giving birth to the eponymous solo project "Ianez". This project encompasses all of the artist's musical experiences, ranging from spoken word to electronic music. Following the release of his first two singles, "Siamo stati noi" (We Were) and "Piscina (anche il mare si scorda di te)" (Pool (Even the Sea Forgets You)), came the album "Figli delle sberle" (Children of Spankings). With the song "Blu", Ianez defines his musical genre, a denunciation against violence against women. This is followed by "New Black", a dystopian track addressing themes of social and political decay, and "Minerva", an ethereal and romantic song. In 2022, he released "Analisti ne abbiamo?" (Do We Have Analysts?), where he tackles the topic of social media gurus with irony and sarcasm. His latest single, "L'Addio" (The Farewell), scheduled for release on October 14, 2022, depicts the feelings triggered by goodbye, the remnants that remain, the memories that make us wonder what could have been, and a love never truly forgotten.
