Biography

Roberto Serafini, all'anagrafe Carmelo Serafino, nato a Catania, sotto il segno della Bilancia, e` una delle voci più` significative del firmamento nazionale ed internazionale definito dalla stampa il "Cantautore dell'Amore". La sua voce, timbro caldo e affascinante, riesce a proporre un genere di musica che fa sognare. Ha iniziato giovanissimo l'attività` artistica, vincendo le selezioni di Sanremo Giovani e successivamente sostenendo tournée in America, Africa, Belgio, Francia e Romania. Ha preso parte a numerose trasmissioni tv e radio portando al successo negli anni '80 il brano "Addio mia bella signora", prodotto dalla King Universal di Aurelio Fierro. Negli anni successivi nascono altri successi come "Rapporto", "Piccola tu", "Donna non sei" e "I tuoi capricci", prodotto da Gianni Bella. Disco d'Inverno 1983, l'anno dopo, spopola con il brano "Voglio te", scritto dallo stesso Serafini con Adelmo Musso e Gianni Bella. Vince nel 1988 il Cantamare su Rai3 con il brano "Stella nel tempo" poi sigla di apertura della telenovela Amor Gitano. La sigla di chiusura è Lady Blu, sempre da lui scritta, un grande successo da un milione di copie. Premiato a Los Angeles, nel '92, per il successo ottenuto con le vendite discografiche nel mondo, nel '93 vince "Canta Piemonte" con il brano "Su e giù` per l'Italia" prodotto da Duck Record con cui pubblicherà` l'album "Piu` forte io". Nel '95 e` premiato da Pippo Baudo a Giardini Naxos, come personaggio dell'anno con "La Giara d'Argento" su Rai Uno. Il 1996 e` l'anno di "Maledetto feeling", sigla del programma di Gigi Sabani "Bellezze Italiane", da cui prende nome l'album prodotto e curato da Gianni Belfiore, già autore e produttore di Julio Iglesias, dando inizio ad un fortunato sodalizio che proietta l'artista catanese d.o.c., ai vertici della discografia italiana. Nel '99 è ospite al Festival di Napoli con il brano "E se fosse amore" scritto da Gianni Belfiore. Nel 2003 pubblica la versione italiana della canzone del film Titanic, dal titolo "Un soffio d'amor". Ha creato uno studio di registrazione e di produzione discografica, dal nome di uno dei suoi più` importanti successi, la Lady Blu Records di Catania di cui e` anche direttore artistico. Nel 2004 esce sul mercato nazionale prodotta da Gianni Belfiore la compilation "Serafini canta i grandi successi di Julio Iglesias" che contiene 12 brani cantati e riarrangiati. L'album, allegato al settimanale Radio Corriere TV, vende oltre 100.000 copie per cui riceve il disco d'oro. Roberto con il fratello Mario, sono protagonisti del duo Marina Crociera Italiana, conseguendo piazzamenti a livello internazionale, con il singolo più` venduto del 2013 "Avanti tutta". Nel 2014, incaricato dal Vaticano, dedica un brano scritto appositamente per Papa Francesco dal titolo "Salva il mondo, Signore", scritto dallo stesso Roberto Serafini e Antonio Bella. Disco di platino, sempre nel 2014, conferito per il brano "Abbracciami" con oltre 3.000.000 di download. Nel 2015 ospite fisso per 15 puntate nel programma televisivo "Mille Voci" in onda anche in Europa, Africa, Canada e Russia. Nel 2016 e` ospite fisso insieme a Franco Dani, Umberto Napolitano, Tony Esposito, Nick Luciani, Alex Damiani, Romans, Armonium, Gianni Nazzaro e altri del format televisivo Cantafestivalgiro New Generation. Nel gennaio 2020 viene invitato a New York, dall'allora presidente della Regione Sicilia Nello Musumeci, al festival The Song come cantautore siciliano piu` conosciuto nel mondo, ricevendo l'Oscar della canzone italiana per aver venduto 3.000.000 di copie, con il brano "Abbracciami". Nel Febbraio 2023 riceve il Premio Vittorio Ribaudo come personaggio dell'anno presso l'Ammiragliato di Augusta (SR). A Luglio 2023 pubblica "Voglio voglio te" brano inedito, arrangiato da TempoXso e prodotto da Luca Venturi.
