Mario Contarino, born in Rome in 1984, is an Italian musician and composer known for his musical project TBP. From a young age, he showed a passion for drums, which he cultivated despite being diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of five. At 16, he joined the pop-rock band "Ladri di Carrozzelle", mainly composed of boys with similar conditions. With them, he played for six years, participating in hundreds of concerts throughout Italy and important television broadcasts, including the "May Day Concert" in 2006 at Piazza San Giovanni in Rome. Due to the progression of the disease, Contarino had to give up playing drums in 2006. However, thanks to technology, he began composing instrumental music with software like Cubase SX and VST-plug-ins. In 2011, he launched the TBP project, creating instrumental versions of famous songs in a hard-rock style and composing original pieces that blend influences from various rock genres (hard, funky, progressive, fusion, blues, metal). His debut album "Universe Of Emotions" was released in 2012 with Zeta Factory.
