Marco Albani, chitarrista e compositore, nasce a Roma nel 1963. Muovendosi sulla sottile linea di confine tra Jazz acustico e World Music, le sue composizioni, ricche di sonorità mediterranee, africane e sudamericane, comunicano idee e sensazioni, con un linguaggio diretto che coinvolge emotivamente l'ascoltatore. Un percorso personale di sperimentazione e contaminazione tra ritmi e melodie del mondo, con suggestioni provenienti da diverse culture, con grande attenzione agli arrangiamenti ed al suono d' ambientazione. Pubblica nel 2006 l'album "Chronos", che riscuote immediati consensi da parte della critica specializzata e viene inserito nella programmazione di molte radio italiane ed estere. Nel 2010 esce il secondo album "Encuentro", un appassionato viaggio nel cuore della musica latino-americana. Alla produzione partecipano artisti di livello internazionale quali: Maurizio Giammarco, Marco Siniscalco, Rocco Zifarelli, Gianni Iorio, Carlos Sarmiento, Gnu Quartet, Raul Scebba, Umberto Vitiello, Sanjay Kansa Banik e Roland Ricaurte. L'album permette all'artista di raggiungere un più vasto consenso di pubblico. Marco è ospite di Brasil su RAI Radio1, dove suona in diretta, e di Etnobazar su Radio Capodistria. Con il Marco Albani Project partecipa nel 2010 al Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival di Roma e nel 2011 al Casa del Jazz Festival sempre a Roma. Partecipa con il Marco Albani Acoustic Quartet alle edizioni 2013 e 2014 del Jazzit Fest di Collescipoli (Terni). Dopo un periodo di ricerca interiore, pubblica nel 2021 il concept-album "Kallaama", da cui è tratto "MARI MARI MIU", incontro tra la melodia chitarristica e la vocalità maschile e femminile. Kallaama - in lingua Wolof - significa Linguaggio: quello universale della Musica, che va oltre le lingue, le tradizioni e le culture. Alla produzione partecipano importanti autori ed interpreti quali Frances Alina Ascione, Kaw Sissoko, Andrea Sanchini, Umberto Vitiello, Clea Scala, Carla Cocco e Velka-Sai. Il sassofonista italo-argentino Javier Girotto condivide la scrittura ed interpreta il brano di chiusura dell'album. Carla Cocco, cantautrice ed interprete, nasce a Carbonia il 9 settembre 1978. Inizia a suonare il pianoforte all'età di otto anni, per poi intraprendere lo studio del canto a circa quindici anni. Dotata di vocalità intensa e particolare, è in grado di interpretare con rara sensibilità generi diversi, mantenendo sempre una forte identità artistica. Si trasferisce a Roma nel 1997; dal 1997 al 2001 partecipa come cantante al programma "Sarabanda", condotto da Enrico Papi su Italia 1. Nel 2001 si laurea in Discipline del Servizio Sociale, diventa assistente sociale e si esibisce per beneficenza presso case famiglia per minori e nelle carceri minorili. Nel 2006 interpreta alcune canzoni del Maestro Stelvio Cipriani, nell'ambito del concorso nazionale Prove d'Autore. Pubblica nel 2012 il CD "Respiro", prodotto da Gianni Zangarelli Ciuffini, al quale partecipano come ospiti Toquinho e gli Audio 2; l'album viene presentato all'Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma, con voce narrante di Orso Maria Guerrini. Nello stesso Auditorium, il 22 giugno 2013 è nel cast del concerto "Una notte per Vinicius", allestito in occasione dei cento anni dalla nascita del poeta e compositore Vinicius de Moraes; prendono parte alla serata: Ornella Vanoni, Tony Bungaro, Celso Fonseca, Selma Hernandes, Max de Tomassi, Eddy Palermo e Claudia Endrigo. L'esperienza di Carla Cocco in Zambia, iniziata nel 2015 con un concerto per l'Ambasciata italiana a Lusaka, la porta a diretto contatto con la difficile realtà in cui vivono i giovani della comunità di Bauleni. Nel 2017 torna a Lusaka dove, attraverso una campagna di crowdfunding, raccoglie i fondi per aprire "Africa Sarda Studio", Scuola di Musica / Studio di Registrazione all'interno del ghetto di Bauleni; la struttura verrà poi inaugurata nel febbraio 2018. Come ricompensa ai sostenitori, il progetto prevede l'incisione del CD "Africa Sarda & Is Amigus", registrato tra Africa, Italia e Brasile, in cui la lingua sarda e quella italiana si uniscono musicalmente al portoghese e a diversi idiomi africani. Nel luglio 2018 fonda l'ODV Africa Sarda, associazione che promuove lo sviluppo e la diffusione della cultura zambiana e sarda, in nome della Musica e della Solidarietà. L'album "Africa Sarda & Is Amigus" viene presentato all'Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma nel novembre del 2018. Le canzoni rappresentano un cross-over della musica etnica del popolo sardo e di quello zambiano, laddove le voci, pervase da grande umanità', comunicano passioni e sentimenti di natura universale. Pubblica nel maggio 2020 il singolo I can see clearly now, registrato durante la pandemia Covid-19, al quale partecipano per raccogliere fondi oltre 50 musicisti da tutto il mondo, tra i quali Roberto Menescal e Ismaila Mbaye. Il 6 giugno 2021 chiude il "Festival Mia Cara 2021", organizzato dal Consolato italiano a Curitiba (Brasile) con il concerto in streaming "Carla Cocco apresenta Mio Caro Brasile". Il 24 luglio 2021 riceve il Premio "Voci tra le Onde" per il talento canoro e per l'impegno nel sociale. La serata, ideata dalla VixVocal della storica famiglia di doppiatori De Angelis, è presentata da Francesco Pannofino. Marco Albani il 29 settembre 2021 pubblica l'album "KALLAAMA" da cui è tratto il singolo "MARI MARI MIU" feat. CARLA COCCO, dal 10 settembre in radio e disponibile in digitale.
