Yanomamyy, whose real name is Elis Regina Apruzzese Rodriguez, is an urban Latin singer-songwriter born in Lima, Peru, in 1997. Due to the socio-political situation of the country in the 1990s, she moved to Rome at the age of two. Her stage name takes inspiration from the indigenous Yanomamy tribe, a people who live in nature on the border between Venezuelan and Brazilian Amazonia. Growing up in various cities like New York, Lima, Madrid, and Rhodes, Yanomamyy never forgets her Latin American roots, which become the essence of her music. In 2017, she released «Zumba», her first single alongside Ketama126, followed by other releases that highlight her stylistic imprint and expressive urgency.
