Slime was a German punk band formed in 1979 in Berlin. The original lineup consisted of Christian Mevs (vocals) and Dirk Jora (guitar), with other musicians joining the group over the years. Slime is considered one of the pioneers of hardcore punk in Germany, influencing numerous subsequent bands. Their sound was characterized by a fast tempo, political lyrics, and a strong energetic charge. Among their most representative songs are "Schweineherbst", "Punk Club" and "Alles ist Scheisse".
