Slime è stato un gruppo punk tedesco formatosi nel 1979 a Berlino. La formazione originale comprendeva Christian Mevs (voce) e Dirk Jora (chitarra), con altri musicisti che hanno fatto parte del gruppo nel corso degli anni. Slime è considerato uno dei pionieri del hardcore punk in Germania, influenzando numerose band successive. Il loro sound era caratterizzato da un ritmo veloce, testi politici e una forte carica d'energia. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Schweineherbst", "Punk Club" e "Alles ist Scheisse". Slime ha pubblicato diversi album, tra cui "Slime I", "Live '94" e "Compilation '81 bis '87". La band si è sciolta nel 1987 ma ha avuto un impatto significativo sulla scena punk tedesca.
