Ed ora una notizia particolare. Si è risvegliato da un coma durato circa 29 anni Piero Zamponi, colpito il 4 aprile del 1977 durante una violenta carica della polizia nel corso di una manifestazione in via Roma. Piero Zamponi, un esponente dell'Autonomia Operaia, fu raggiunto da un colpo d'arma da fuoco alla testa, probabilmente -anzi, quasi certamente- esploso dall'arma di un suo compagno. Per anni la famiglia ha provato a stimolarlo con ricordi, canzoni, visite di vecchi amici; ma soltanto due giorni fa Cesira Marchionni, la sua ex compagna, gli ha fatto ascoltare una canzone dei Bee Gees, Stayin' Alive. Lo Zamponi si è risvegliato. Commossi la madre e i fratelli; il padre, nel frattempo, era scomparso nel disastro aereo di Ustica. Prima di rivelargli quanto tempo è trascorso nello stato vegetativo i medici raccomandano cautela: un trauma potrebbe essere letale. "Questo episodio", ha sostenuto il cardinale Rovini, "chiude il dibattito sull'eutanasia".
