I Matia Bazar sono un gruppo musicale italiano formatosi a Genova nel 1975. La formazione storica comprendeva Antonella Ruggiero (voce), Carlo Marrale, Aldo Stellita (basso), Piero Cassano e Giancarlo Golzi (batteria). Il gruppo ha riscosso grande successo negli anni '80 con brani come "Ti sento", "Storie di tutti i giorni" e "Solo tu". Hanno vinto per due volte il Festival di Sanremo (1982 con "Starò bene" e 1985 con "Non ho più paura") e altrettante il premio della critica. Nel corso degli anni la formazione ha subito diversi cambiamenti, soprattutto tra le cantanti e i tastieristi. Nonostante questo, Matia Bazar rimane una delle band italiane più amate e riconosciute a livello internazionale.
