Glenn Hughes (Cannock, Staffordshire, England, August 21, 1952) is a British bassist and vocalist known for being the lead vocalist of Black Sabbath in the mid-1980s, as well as playing bass and singing for Deep Purple's Mk. III and IV lineups. Hughes has also had a prolific solo career, releasing numerous successful albums.
