Dr. Alban, real name Alban Uzoma Nwapa, is a Nigerian-born Swedish singer and record producer. Born in Nigeria in 1960, he moved to Sweden in the 1980s where he began his musical career. Known for his dance-pop style characterized by African rhythms and European influences, Dr. Alban reached the peak of international success in the 1990s with songs like "No More Sleep", "It's My Life" and "Raw Like Me". His debut album, "Introducing Dr. Alban", released in 1990, became a gold record in many European countries.
