Cage the Elephant is an American rock band from Bowling Green, Kentucky. Originally known as "Perfect Confusion", their success came with the single "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked", which reached number 32 on the UK Singles Chart and was featured in the Gearbox Software video game Borderlands. After performing at the South by Southwest music festival in 2007, they signed with EMI Records and moved to London, England. Their self-titled debut album was released on June 23, 2008, and received generally positive reviews. Cage the Elephant supported The Pigeon Detectives early in 2008 and Silversun Pickups and Manchester Orchestra in 2009. The single "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked" was iTunes' free single of the week for the week of April 12, 2009.
