Quest'anno a Natale volevo scappare.
Non ero più in grado di sopportare
mia moglie che puzzava di brodo vegetale
e il cane che pisciava sui fogli di giornale.
E' che, spesso, a Natale mi viene il magone
con le luci, il presepe e tutte quelle persone
con i pacchi dei regali, con le facce tutte uguali
col boccone sempre in bocca, come un branco di maiali.
E pensare a com'era bella, questa notte trent'anni fa,
alla luce di un'altra stella, alla luce di un'altra età.
E continuo a sognare con la casa sul mare,
con la spiaggia e una barca per andare a pescare,
qualche pesce tropicale o vecchie storie marinare,
di stelle cadenti che diventano lampare.
Ma di mare qui c'è solo questa stupida insalata,
ennesima portata dell'ennesimo cenone,
le farfalle col salmone, lo spumante e il panettone,
i ragazzi improfumati in attesa del veglione.
E pensare a com'eri bella quella notte vent'anni fa,
quella notte di luna piena, solo d'ingenuità.
Cosa rimane? Mogli, figli, fantasie..
forse è il momento di andare..
Corri! E scappa via...
ma poi ti fermi un secondo e rimani così..
a pensare che il peggio è passato,a un passo da qui.
Quest'anno a Natale volevo morire,
poi ho visto l'orario e sono andato a dormire.
Ho spento la luce e la stella cometa,
"finite le feste mi metterò a dieta."
