Lyrics La ville Claude Barzotti

 1.148

La ville

Les taxis sous la pluie

Les feux rouges, les feux verts

Les rues comme dans des puits

Sous des blocs de misères

Dans les prisons carrées

Des vivants, des visages

Flirtent avec les reflets

Des télés, des images

Et des mariées de cire

Dans l’ennui des vitrines

Des nuées de sourires

Sur affiches anti-spleen

Et le chant des autos

Tout comme le bruit des vagues

Les musiques en morceaux

Pour la pub, et la drague

Refrain :

C’est ça la ville

On se cherche on se trouve

On s’aime et on se quitte

C’est ça la ville

Les feux rouges, les feux verts

Les taxis scarabés

Les buildings de lumière

Les enseignes incendiées

Et la beauté des femmes

La fureur des carrefours

La douleur vague à l’âme

Les regards sans amour

Et le jazz d’un oiseau

Dans un square oublié

Et les cris du métro

Poussés sous les pavés

Et ces odeurs de fer

De poussière et de peur

Tous ces mots pour se taire

Qui crèvent au fond des coeurs.

Retour au refrain

Les antennes aux terrasses

Comme des crois comme des fleurs

Les usines en carcasses

Qui scintillent à la sueur

Les valets quatre étoiles

Aux perrsons des palaces

Et pour la putain pâle

Un général de passe

Le sexe à la sauvette

Dans les shops sans surprise

La pitié qu’on achète

Aux parvis des églises

Et toutes ces vies ratées

Qui trainent sur les trottoirs

Ces désirs maquillés

Par les codes et les fards

Retour au refrain

Toutes ces nuits d’insomnies

Ces gares et ces grat’ciels

Ces fumées en folies

Comme l’encens des hôtels

Et les dieux en carton

Aux murs des cinémas

Les glaces à la passion

Les sandwichs et sodas

Les ramasseurs d’ordures

Les tambours des camions

Les banques pour la parure

L’agonie des chansons

Les gens parmi les fous

Les fous parmi les gens

Le luxe au mauvais goût

Et comme le goût du sang

Retour au refrain
